Here are my favorites that I received in my June/July issue of The Sampler
A handmade envelope set from Donovan Beeson and a cute little handbag brooch from Emotional Baggage
2 sets of super cute stationary from Nut and Bee
I always suspected that deer enjoyed pancakes…now I know for sure!
A mini issue of CROQ, which has lots of projects in it on how to use up vinyl records. And lastly, an issue of Bust Magazine
On Saturday (July 14th), Cory and I went to Ypsi to check out the Shaddow Art Fairat the Corner Brewery. There was a total of 40 different artists and vendors, and the place was cram-packed with people when we were there. I would have lovely pictures to share with you all, but forgetful me brought my camera but NO BATTERY…grr!
Both of us did manage to spend some cash on some super cool items though. Here’s a picture of my goodies!
I got 3 nifty cards made from vintage children’s books (and rickrack!) from Martha, who also had lovely screen printed tees and felted pillows.
An almost instant purchase was this super cool Michigan Made tee from Henrietta Fahrenheit.
Cory got another print from his favorite vendor, Rainy Prints He also bought a tee shirt from Diamond Hawk Graphics, which had a box of penguins and said, “Free Penguins”. He LOVES penguins. Lastly, he got a Christmas present for his friend Dan, from Paper Action Figure Man. I cannot believe the detail in his work!
It was an overall swell time. I saw some familiar faces at the show, including Sarah Minshall from Hip to Piece Squaresand I saw Lish working hard on some embroidery project at the Handmade Detroit table, so I didn’t interrupt her. We didn’t stay long enough to hear the bands play, but I’m sure it was a good show!
DUCF is 20 DAYS AWAY!!!
