The Magpies Nest

I ordered these pretty little ponytail holders from The Magpies Nest last week and they arrived over the weekend. My only regret is that I didn’t order any more!

These are fabric-covered buttons on metal-free ties. They came neatly packaged in cellophane, and she also included a little personal note. She wrote on a hand-stamped manila tag with a little bird’s nest and topped off with red and white polka dot ribbon. She kindly included some extra business cards, which I requested.

The artist, Renee Thompson, also makes hair clips, bobbie pins and hair accessories for little girls. If you’re looking to dress up your ‘dew, I would highly recommend The Magpies Nest!

Upcycle Anxiety

I’m anxiously awaiting the results of the Upcycle contest with Etsy and Bazaar Bizarre. Supposidly, the winners wont be announced until February 1st.

I made this before the contest, and wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do with it. I decided to list it for the contest, and so far it has generated over 850 views! The story behind the purse can be found at my etsy.

New Beginnings

I have had quite a few people ask me recently if I had a craft blog. I politely replied, “Well…no, but I should!”
Geisha Tote

So, here it is! I finally gave in. For those of you who wanted me to do this, you are going to have to help me stay dedicated to writing in here. Its not that I don’t want to but you know how it goes…the post office bekons, projects require finishing, there’s buying to do on Etsy (and listing, and surfing, and forum posting). And don’t even mention Craftster…

What I plan on featuring here are recent Etsy projects, and projects I’m making or have made for swapping. I also plan on featuring my photography here.

So if your a Craftster member and admire my work (or are stalking me!), or fellow Etsyian I hope that you can find some interest or inspiration here.
