Yes, even though I’m 24, its still a tradition to color eggs on Easter…its an excuse to get messy!
For the past 5 years, it has been a tradition with my fiance’s family to dye eggs and then draw on them with Sharpies. This was my “mod egg”. I left my egg in pink dye for 10 minutes and 5 minutes in purple. I love the result.
The past two years we have blown out some of the eggs so they keep and we can turn them into everyday ornaments with a little wire and ribbon. These are the three I made this year. The blue bird one will go in my kitchen and the other two I plan on giving away as gifts.
Hope you all have a blessed Easter!
Besides my painted items, these are so fun to make! Plus, the hunt at antique stores for these is one of my favorite things to do on my days off. Keep your eyes peeled at enamor for new pincushions and other spring goodies!
I happened to catch these treasury lists which featured enamor items. I’m always pleasantly surprised to be featured, especially with such a great grouping of items.

Hey all! Thought I would share with you some of the uber cool promos I got in the February edition of The Sampler
My first pick is this totally awesome Rooibos Tea Lippschitt from The Lote Tree. I can’t stop using it and it hasn’t come out of my coat pocket since I got it because I always seem to get dry lips in the winter. Plus, I love the word, “lippschitt”.
A very cool polymer clay brooch from Trollop. I really like the cameo in the middle.
I can’t wait to wear my glass heart pendant necklace from Alicia G. It would look lovely with a little black dress.
I’m always looking for fun and unique magnets for my new fridge, so I was happy to receive this little monster magnet (isn’t that a band from the 90′s?). I got the yellow guy with purple horns.
Have a happy day everyone!
